Never Give Up: All Things Are Possible to Them Who Dare, Who Do and Who Believe!

Think back to one of the darkest moments in your life, how would you describe that moment?

I believe my strength lies in the fact that I have been graced with a tenacity to rise above countless dark moments in life. It is when we are at the end of our rope that we find the greatest glimmer of hope infusing us with a second wind of determination that will not allow us to let go.  To be more specific I will never forget the year 1999 after being laid off from the Homeless Shelter due to a budget cut and 2007 after walking away from my 8-5 job in wonder to see what was possible beyond natural sight.

I have been building a business untiringly for 14 years and what I’ve learned most is that while you are cultivating your dreams; your dreams are shaping and refining every part of your existence. These two experiences were similar in terms of struggle but unique in the fact that the former occurred as a result of someone else’s decision and the latter a result of my own choice. Adversity comes from multiple directions and the key to overcoming them is to be ready to fight with all your might the moment they knock on your door!

During the months leading up to opening my business after walking away from full time employment was simultaneously exciting and exhausting. I was laboring around the clock in preparation of opening my first facility. When you have a vision in your heart not many will be able to perceive the enormity of what you are carrying in your spirit. Additionally, not many will possess the passion or the desire to help you erect a colossal dream because it requires more than most care to invest. We live in a world where many are governed by convenience rather than conviction.

After two months in my building I learned rather quickly that one must have strong sales and marketing in place in order to create a demand for products and services. A company void of continuous traffic (potential clients) is on the verge of closing shop.

As a result of not producing consistent revenue I found myself disillusioned in having to depart from my first location almost as fast as I moved in.  It was devastating to say the least. It took me a year to bounce back mentally and I actually prayed that God would take my life. I’m glad He ignored that request! I buried my head in depression behind closed doors and in public I put on my pretty girl face as if everything was ok.  I was hanging by a thread and only a few were able to detect it.

For five years, I was in survival mode being miraculously taken care of like Elijah who received nourishing meals by way of a raven.  I am intimately acquainted with the tender care in which God extends to those in dire need. I remember being without electricity for two weeks and I read my bible nightly by candlelight. One of my favorite scriptures that carried me through was Nahum 1:7  “The Lord is good, a StrengthandStronghold in the day of trouble; He knows (recognizes, has knowledge of, and understands) those who take refugeandtrust in Him.”

Sometimes, I feel like my entire life has been about me fighting and overcoming insurmountable odds. As a motivational speaker I now understand why I’ve had to journey through the valleys in search of my own victory. It’s because of the innumerable hearts that I will be blessed to comfort and inspire through my rich encounters.

Describe to us your story of triumph-Nothing is too big or too small.

There was a time in my younger days where I was always afraid to step out and go after what was truly in my heart. I spent a majority of time sitting in In School Suspension (I.S.S.) during high school. As a college student my attitude was just as troublesome and I was almost expelled twice. My testimony is that God can take anyone or anything that appears to be a muddy mess and make it magnificent.

I never imagined going to college let alone graduating with a degree. I often reflect on how terribly frightened I was to speak in public. During freshman year at Florida State University, in my speech class, I froze when we were required to stand before our peers and share our thoughts. It was so bad that I asked the teacher to allow me to present privately in his office apart from the students. The core message that I share with audiences globally is it’s never too late to shift and shine!

Describe your moment of triumph. How did God show up?

A recent triumph that I am extremely grateful for is obtaining medical insurance to cover surgery for the removal of Fibroid Tumors.  I have battled with this health issue for six years and it has made me more steadfast than ever. It is my fervent desire to be an emblem of what is possible when you refuse to succumb to challenges and endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. The latest blessing is, being selected as the winning recipient of a complimentary health and wellness life coaching certification. The training is for ten weeks starting February 2014! I am a living witness that weeping may last for a night but JOY COMETH in the morning!

What type of books do you read?

I am a voracious and avid reader. I don’t think one day passes by that I am not soaking my mind in new thoughts and ideas. I love the bible, motivational, self-help, business, devotionals, women’s empowerment, prayer, leadership and success books.  Currently, I am reading the classic Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and Crush it is by Gary Vaynerchuk.

What are you currently doing now in your field of purpose?

After twenty plus years I have finally tasted the sweet nectar of a having the dream of publishing my first magazine entitled Magnificent Living. It is available online at I’ve recently partnered with several internet based organizations as a contributing writer,,,,,, and

I am in the process of rebranding Kristie Kennedy Empowerment Enterprises, LLC. by establishing a new website design, color schemes and collateral (marketing material). I have several interviews and speaking engagements on the horizon. Entrepreneurship is a lifestyle not a once in a lifetime event. It is so important to establish success habits in order to produce successful results. We must not allow small minds to bind our God sized dreams.

Please share a word of encouragement for the readers. And provide us with a title to your success story as well.

“The diamonds of destiny are often discovered in the depths of despair.  It does not matter if others can perceive the vast potential you possess. The question is, are you aware of the MAGNIFICENT potency buried deep within? The opinion of doubters, naysayers and unbelievers is irrelevant, insignificant and inconsequential in lieu of your divine purpose.  It’s time for you to step forward, take center stage, reclaim your greatness, seize every moment, pivot into prosperity, rise up, dry your eyes as you shift and shine!”
