Welcome our newest contributor: Towanna Freeman
We at The Black Perspective are proud to welcome our newest regular contributor, Towanna Freeman. Expect to see her posts on our site blog and throughout our articles section. We all look forward to what she has to say.
Freeman is one of those rare “triple threat women.” She is an entrepreneur, mother and wife. She is a successful life coach, management consultant, inspirational and motivational speaker and advocate for young women. Freeman conducts workshops and conferences where she imparts a life-changing message that presents hope and inspiration. It is her purpose. It is her success. So much, in fact, that she has co-authored an award winning book, Purposeful Action, 7 Steps to Fulfillment, which reveals a seven-step method for identifying and effectively pursuing personal and professional goals.
Women and young girls receive help from Towanna B. Freeman to effectively identify and pursue personal goals in their quest toward obtaining more fulfilling lives. In 1999 Freeman founded the Young Women’s Empowerment Network (www.ywen.org) designed to help teen girls realize their potential to succeed in life and in 2008 she launched a new empowerment conference called “GIRL PREP” that is designed for pre-teen girls.
As a much sought after leadership development coach, Freeman helps develop and implement successful corporate leadership, effective teambuilding and the initiation of strategic change. Towanna delivers custom keynotes, coaching and training programs designed to assist organizations in their efforts to equip their leaders and key contributors with the skills and competencies needed to excel in today’s challenging business environment. She uses her expertise helping businesses shape corporate strategies that produce positive bottom line benefits. Towanna is a trusted partner and problem solver for many clients tackling morale, employee retention, employee engagement, training and development in the post-recession world.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C. Her real world achievements have earned her a bevy of awards including an honorary doctorate degree. Freeman received a doctorate in Divinity from Elbon Solutions College of Ministry. She received her certificates in Corporate Coaching and Core Energy Coaching from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching.
